I used to eat traditional pastas and rices several days a week. In the Spring of 2014, I decided to make a change and try the "Paleo" diet. The first thing I started making while on the new diet was cauliflower “rice." It was tasty, healthy, and had the utility of rice without the guilt. After having success with the “rice”, I began making veggie "noodles," my favorite being zucchini spirals. In no time, vegetables became the main ingredient in many of my dishes.
Unfortunately, making the "noodles" and "rices" was laborious, messy, and resulted in a lot of waste. I wished I could go to the grocery store and pick up a pre-packaged, ready-to-eat veggie "noodle" or "rice." So, I started searching. After weeks of coming up empty, the lightbulb went off. I rolled up my sleeves and got to work creating joyloop. The rest is history.
Our goal is to make veggie products that are simple to prepare and a joy to eat.
